About DetectionGuide

We cover the arms race between the machines that write and the machines that judge.

DetectionGuide is an independent publication about AI humanizers, AI detectors, and everyone caught in between — students, teachers, freelancers, editors, and the companies selling certainty to all of them.

What we believe

  1. 01

A score is not a verdict

Detector outputs are probabilities with error bars nobody prints. We report them that way — with false positive rates, sample sizes and the conditions under which they were measured.

  2. 02

    No affiliate links. Ever.

We don’t take commissions from humanizer or detector vendors, and we don’t run their ads. If that changes, this page will say so first.

  3. 03

    Show the method

Every lab result links to how we produced it: the corpus, the settings, the date. If you can’t reproduce it, we haven’t done our job.

  4. 04

    People over products

The most important story is rarely the tool. It’s the student with a 48-hour deadline to prove they wrote their own essay.

Flagged by a detector? Building a humanizer and want to tell us how it works? Sitting on a policy memo your university hasn’t published yet? We read everything.
